Inventory of the movable properties of Louis-Henri, duc de Bourbon, prince de Condé, found upon his death, January 27, 1740, at his châteaux at Chantilly, Ecouen, Vanves and Versailles, and in his Paris town house in rue du Condé. The inventories list and describe the contents of the residences. Items include: silver vessels, jewelry, horses and carriages.

Dès l’âge de quinze ans, Louis-Henri-Joseph de Bourbon, prince de Condé (1736-1818) reçut le titre de grand maître de la Maison du roi et le gouvernement de la Bourgogne, qu’il administra après avoir participé à la guerre de Sept Ans. Le prince de Condé était général au moment de la Révolution. Il émigra après la prise de la Bastille, gagna la Belgique, se rendit à Turin, se fixa ensuite à Worms. Sommé de rentrer en France, il s’y refusa et équipa un corps de 5000 hommes qui resta en observation...

Louis-Henri, 7th prince of Condé became duc de Bourbon after the death of Louis XIV on September 1, 1715, and was appointed head of a council of regency by Philippe II, duc d'Orléans, regent for King Louis XV.
